Mountain Man is a fictional and ambiguous retelling of the story of Peter Bergmann, the name assumed by an unidentified man whose body was found on a beach in Sligo in 2009. Moving between landscape, found objects, constructed evidence and imagined traces, the work loosely retraces a story defined by absence, obscuring the boundary between fact and fiction, documentation and invention.
